Alright, this is getting to my nerves. I admit.

Without fail, every night on news I hear about the recession - how businesses are affected and retrenching staff, how people are flocking to job fairs vying for limited job positions and what have you.

I mean, yes, we all know that 2009 will be a tough year to cross. But reporting about the bad economy is just bad energy and depressing. I just don’t like it that the topic of the recession is being reinforced and repeated every night…without FAIL.

Please, if you haven’t planned for 2009. You should but not because you fear that you are going to lose your job. Rather, how you can make it your best year ever.

There is a Chinese saying that goes something like, there are opportunities in any crisis.

If you have been trading, how should you react to this market? Isn’t this the best time to buy - I mean, buy low and sell high. This is also the best time to buy real estate.

The economy is a cycle. When it bottomed out eventually…which it will, it will also definitely go up.

Plus, studies have shown that internet spending will reach $145.1 BILLION. Think about this. Isn’t this time a good time to Start an online business?

My point is, react to the situation and stop moping.

Remove all negative energy and feelings that you have and start making 2009 your richest year ever.

After receiving so many calls from people telling me that they can help me make money overnight, I can say that I know what they will say most of the time.

So, if you hear the same conversation, please be extremely alert and do not let greed overcome you.

1. Usually, they will say they called you from being referred by some big name internet marketers.

2. Then they will tell you that they can help you make a huge amount of money  (usually in the tens of thousands in a month)

3. You only need to pay one lump sum and they will do the rest.

4. They will ask for your credit card number.

So please do not be gullible to fall for these crap.

You need to work and put in effort to start and maintain your online business. It will never be 100% hands free.

I received a call from “Keith Wellman” this morning and I was pissed by the rampant online scams.

I have been receiving more and more calls from the so called gurus or was asked by the gurus to call me.

The call started with the caller identifying himself as Keith Wellman and said that he only worked with 20 people a year and will help me make money within 24 hours. Don’t they all say that?

Then he also said that he will help me make $2400 a week or something, I can’t remember and then $60,000 a month. Too good to be true, isn’t it?

The rest of the call went like this: (KW - Keith Wellman)

Me: Are you sure you are keith wellman? You don’t sound like him.

KW: yes, I am keith wellman, You saw my videos? …So you know how i look?

Me: Yes, Keith has a unique voice and you are certainly not him.

KW: Well, I am Keith Wellman and I can help you make $60,000 a month.

Me: What do I have to do?

KW: You only pay for the advertising costs, a small portion of about $10,000. (seriously, I don’t even know what he was talking about at this point)

Me: I can’t pay the costs.

KW: Do you have a credit card or debit card?

Me: No.

KW: …….(line went dead)

Well, you draw your own conclusions

Just want to share this little incident with you and hopefully, you don’t fall into the scam trap.

If you wish to start an online business, focus on one aspect first and don’t hope for the secret solution that will make you tens of thousands overnight.

In an earlier post, I wrote that I had just watched The Secret again.

Well, it has changed my whole outlook and I am positively positive now. I can feel it in my body.

A tidbit for you:

In the movie, it was said that if you asked, you will receive. Well, just to be cheeky, I had asked
for a windfall. Then, one night, I had dream about some lucky numbers. It felt so real and I promptly
betted on it.

Did I win? No. So I gave up and didn’t bet on the number again. But, yesterday, that number came out and was
3rd prize. I could have won between $15,000 to $20,000 depending on the amount I betted. But based on what
I had betted last week, that would have been the amount that I stand to pocket.

Was I disappointed? Yes, definitely! It is money from the sky and I missed it. Holy #$@*&.

Haha…did I lose sleep over it? Yes, a little, I guess.

But, what got me thinking was: Did the universe just replied me? Will my life change for the better?

I am getting my vision board clearer and clearer each day. And seriously, there was a little setback but things are on track now and getting better.

How often have you been ‘persuaded’ to click on a headline that has the word scam on it only to find out that it is just a ‘trap’ to lure you to read the article and more often than not, get sold by the article and end up slightly poorer…or alot poorer

Well, I felt compelled to write this post about scams today after reading a strong case by a newbie who felt he was scammed.

Now, there are always two sides to a story. I do not have the other side of the story so I shall not judge.

Have I been scammed? YES, DEFINITELY, maybe even more than once; I am embarrassed to admit.

But, lately I have been thinking, WHY?

I watched The Secret movie a couple of years ago and recently revisited the movie again.

The secret seemed to come out stronger this time round. And I would encourage anyone who has not watched it to go get the DVD and watch it.

To those who have seen it and yet to grasp the secret, please watch it again. Take away any scepticism, watch it with an open mind.

What did I take away from watching the Secret Movie?

Three Things:

1. I have a gratitude rock - I learn to be grateful everyday for all that I have now.

2. I am focussed on what I want and NOT what I don’t want.

3. My thoughts become things…I am starting a vision board.
